RPI media is now available in convenient premeasured and pre-mixed capsules. Prebuffered media eliminates pH adjustments. Capsules contain all necessary ingredients for maintenance and propagation of E. coli.
Simply add 2 x 500 mL capsules to one liter of water, sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes at 121°C. Supplied as 40 gm capsule.

Use the entire pack, or if there is a need for a smaller number of plates, just a portion. CHROMagar™ products are sold in dehydrated form. DRG offers the 5L size (after reconstitution). If kept under appropriate storage temperatures, CHROMagar™ powder products have a long shelf life (2-3 years). This flexibility is essential to avoid the costly waste resulting from unused plates. This product requires a refrigerated supplement to use properly; these are shipped free of charge along with the product. Supplements contain compounds that cannot be heated, therefore the compounds would degrade in the base if stored together for a long time.
Research Products International Corp Malt Extract Agar, 2 Kilograms
Malt Extract Agar is used for the isolation, cultivation and maintenance of yeasts and molds. Formulation is similar to Malt Extract Broth with the addition of agar and glycerol. This broth medium was recommended by Thom and Church for the cultivation of fungi. Its low acidity inhibits the growth of most bacteria. The high carbohydrate content enhances the rapid growth of fungi and yeasts.
Dissolve 33.6 grams in 1 liter of distilled water. Sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes.

Simply dissolve 25 capsules per 1 Liter of distilled water. Water must be 37°C or warmer to completely dissolve gelatin capsule. Agitate. Sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes before use. Buffer is set for 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25°C using a 10mM solution of Tris/Tris HCl. pH will vary depending on temperature.
